These websites contain digital books, videos, activities, and games focused on helping learners to build and practice literacy skills.

  • Reading Rockets - This site offers resources to assist parents in helping readers build literacy skills.
  • Common Lit - This resource offers a variety of searchable reading materials (fiction, non-fiction, and poetry) as well as text sets. Parents will need to create a login, but it is free and user friendly.
  • Scholastic - This site has day-to-day projects to keep students reading, thinking and learning. 
  • i-Ready/At Home - Printable at-home activity packs are designed to provide K-8 students with valuable self-directed exercises and practice during extended absences from school. Each pack is designed to reinforce key concepts for a given grade.
  • Reading Bear -  A free online program to support beginning readers’ vocabulary and concept development while systematically introducing all the main phonetic patterns of written English.
  • AudioBookCloud - AudioBookCloud is an online audio book library collection with unlimited remote access for all ages.
