Class Vision - We are super smart kindergarteners and we are nice to each other.
Class Mission - We will always come to school to do our work and listen to the teacher. We will share with each other and use our manners.
Thanksgiving Centers and Feast
We will be having a day of centers and a feast on Friday, November 18th 9:30 - 11:30. We will need volunteers to help with the different centers and also to help with serving food for the feast.
We will also need help with the food for the feast. Please return the form with what food you could contribute by Wednesday, November 9th. We will send home a note confirming what you are to provide. Thank you in advance for you help to make this day a success for the students.
The first quarter is completed! I am very proud of all the students because each and everyone of them have made progress. Thank you for your support at home and in the classroom. Here are some important things coming up:

Coming next week.......
We will begin making our own Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See book. The students always love to make their own Brown Bear book. We learn about colors and shapes while making our book. Each day, students wear the color of the day. A flyer will be sent home on Friday, Sept. 9 with the colors for each day.
We have had another great week of learning. We continue to focus on learning our class routines as we as being a Quality Student. I am very proud of all the students because they are making the right choices.
In Reading we continue to work on learning the letters of the alphabet. We are making our own ABC book. This will be the first book that goes into their reading baskets at school!
In Writing, we are writing about things we know about and things that have really happened to us. Students are also sharing their stories with the class. They love to sit in the rocking chair to share!
In Math, we continue to learn our number poems. Monday you will get a copy of all the poems to keep at home so you can practice writing the numbers. We have also been learning about things that are alike and different. Ask your child what these words mean; I am sure you will be surprised.
In Social Studies, we continue to learn about the school and class expectations. We have created a quality student and a quality teacher. We have also reviewed the code of behavior. We have started talking about how each of us are special and we are making a special book.
