I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School. It is an honor to join this incredible school community. I eagerly anticipate forming strong connections with students, teachers, and families, implementing effective instructional practices, and ensuring equitable opportunities for every student.
My career in education began in Prince William County Public Schools in 2012. During my tenure, I taught second through fifth grades at Covington-Harper and Leesylvania Elementary Schools. For the past four years, I served as an assistant principal at Covington-Harper Elementary.
As your principal, I am dedicated to ensuring academic excellence for all our students. I will collaborate closely with the committed staff at King Elementary to create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where student-centered learning thrives.
Personally, I grew up in Prince William County, and I am a PWCS graduate! I attended Radford University and George Mason University for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my two nieces. Traveling and learning about different cultures is a passion of mine! My latest adventure took me to the beautiful country of Thailand.
I’m incredibly enthusiastic about continuing on this journey with the King Elementary community, and I eagerly anticipate getting to know each of you as we work together to make the school year exceptional.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Marymount University in Psychology and my master's from the University of Phoenix in Educational Leadership and Supervision. I have taught kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, & 5th grades. We continue to help our students reach their full potential through collaboration, hands-on experiences that allows for conceptual teaching that is meaningful and connecting lessons to real world experiences while being tolerant of such a diverse world.
Being able to lead in a school of DREAMERS means being present and understanding that students learn through the encouragement of developing DREAMS that turn into REALITY! Igniting critical thinking skills, self-management and strong communication skills, along with being an active part of the daily learning and teaching environments is critical to student success. Ensuring that a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment is in the forefront will be a priority as we strive as a school community to encourage student independence and taking charge of their own learning.
“Being Purpose Driven” everyday will lead the way in striving for excellence and understanding OUR WHY!
